Mystic Mycelia: A VR Soundscape

MYSTIC MYCELIA is a hand-painted 3D world and immersive guided VR meditation experience by Alissa Christine that's designed to help awaken your imagination. The gentle radiance of fireflies will accompany you on this illuminated story-telling voyage, about YOU. Hover among cosmic mushrooms, visionary eyes, and the legend of the rainbow serpent. This inner odyssey inspires heart-opening revelations through the sense of wonder. As you journey within this enchanted expedition, allow the infinite pool of consciousness to reveal its profound secrets, as you reconnect with the boundless magic of existence.

LIVE SOUNDSCAPE

Jared Bistrong of the Miami Sound Institute will be performing a live Soundscape utilizing over a dozen instruments including the Handpan, Didgeridoo, Gongs, flutes, and singing bowls. He will end the experience with a sound healing.

THE FLOW

The evening will begin with some light movement, breathwork, & sound. Participants will then put on their VR headsets and enjoy an immersive voyage with live soundscapes. The evening will end with a final Sound healing meditation to help ground round out the experience.

ABOUT THE VISUAL ARTIST

Alissa Christine started creating art in virtual reality that illuminates the soul since 2018. Recently, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts commissioned her to create a VR Meditation App, and perform interactive meditation activations, which launched at their inaugural Art+Mind Day Festival in July of 2023. Alissa, a pioneer in virtual reality art, creates immersive meditative story-telling experiences inside her illuminated 3D VR paintings, complimenting her Healing Arts practices for over 15 years. With a two-decade art career, her work has graced global galleries, including local exhibitions during Art Basel Miami, curating and producing VR/AR Cryptoart Metaverses, and she’s contributed to magazines like Ocean Drive’s Art Basel Mag. Alissa’s avant-garde achievements include VR app development, winning live global VR painting competitions, VR 360 music videos, guided VR meditations for wellness festivals, and performances at SXSW. An arts and wellness educator since 1998, she delivers engaging talks and coursework.

SOUND EXPERIENCE

Jared Bistrong is the found and director of both the Miami Sound Institute and the South Beach Sound Healing Orchestra He has been a pioneer in the field of Sound Healing for over 25 years. He produces and curates large scale community sound healing events throught South Florida and beyond.
